What is the Pet Pantry Project?
It’s a food & supply bank for pet owners in the Franklin County area. It works along the same lines as a food bank for people.
Who can use the Pet Pantry?
Anyone who needs temporary assistance with feeding their pet(s) or who needs supplies such as leashes, collars, carriers, beds, bowls, toys or treats can come to the Pet Pantry. We accept referrals from Social Services, United Way, churches, other social services non-profits and veterinarians. Proof of need is required and all pets serviced through the Pet Pantry must be fixed either before or during Pet Pantry use.

Our office is located at 1614 US 1, Youngsville, NC 27596.
When is the Pet Pantry open?
Currently we are accepting applications. If approved you will be contacted and given a date and time for food pick up. Donations can be dropped off at any of our Pantry Partner locations or by appointment at our office. Please contact us to make an appointment.
How do I get help from the Pet Pantry?
If you need help feeding your pets please download an application. As soon as we open our doors you will be able to come until you no longer need assistance.
Why does the Pet Pantry exist?
Since 2006 we have been providing food and supplies on an as needed basis to SNIP Fund clients. However demand has grown since the recession started in 2008 and we realized that more pets were being surrendered or abandoned by owners because of financial reasons. The SPCA of Franklin County knows that by preventing pets from entering the shelter system and keeping families together we are preventing animals from being put down and preventing unwanted litters of puppies and kittens.
